Innova and Järva DGP to Start Cooperation
The most prestigious disc golf course in Europe – Järva DiscGolfPark – and Innova Europe have announced cooperation.
The goal of the cooperation is to organize top class disc golf events in Järva and drive the development of the sport in Sweden. The European Masters, to be held at Järva DGP this July is the first fruit coming from this cooperation. The European Masters provides great continuation to the rich history of high level disc golf tournaments held in Järva DGP over the years.
“Järva DGP has always been a place of great importance for European Disc Golf as the number one Pro Disc Golf course in the old continent. By this cooperation we want to ensure that it will stay as the venue of some the biggest events in Europe”, says Innova Europe CEO, Jussi Meresmaa. Meresmaa’s newest tournament concept – the European Masters – will be held in Järva DiscGolfPark in July, 17-20th 2014. The event is a new PDGA Major class tournament. The European Masters will gather the best players around the world. Event’s purse will be $40,000. “We want to take some of the things we’ve learned by successfully running the European Open Finland since 2006 and combine those with the prestige and world-class setting Järva has to offer”, Meresmaa continues.
As a result of the cooperation, Järva DiscGolfPark will receive all-new DisCatcher baskets and full DiscGolfPark course equipment that will be installed on the course in the coming months. Additionally an all-new InnovaStore Pro Shop will be serving players with great selection of discs and other Disc Golf gear at the club house Villa Albastro from the beginning of March.
