Qualifier

Five (5) spots to the European Masters 2014 will be granted to players with the best overall scores in the European Masters 2014 Qualifier. Qualifier is a fundraiser tournament and the profits of the tournament benefit the European Masters 2014. This also means that the payout of the tournament is significantly smaller than usually.

The Qualifier is a PDGA XC-tier event, which will be held at Järva DiscGolfPark on Saturday, June 14th. The tournament will consist of two rounds with a shotgun start. The course layout will be the same as in the European Masters.

Qualifier’s tournament field is 72 players. All players will play in the Open division (MPO).

Qualification criteria
• A current PDGA membership is required of all participants.
• A minimum PDGA rating of 925 will be required during the first two weeks of the registration.
• The rating limit will be abolished on May 7th.

Please note that participation in the European Masters also requires a passed PDGA Officials Exam. If you’re aiming for a European Masters spot in the Qualifier, make sure that you’re eligible to compete in the European Masters in case you earn a spot.

Registration
Spots to the Qualifier are given in registration order. We have reserved a 10 spot quota for non-Swedish players. There’s also a 5 spot quota for Wild cards.

The registration opened on Wednesday, April 23rd. The registration ends on Friday, May 30th.

2. 1000
3. 600

5. 200

The European Masters entry fees of the players who earn a spot in the European Masters have to reach the organizer’s account by June 27th.

If a player, who has earned a spot in the European Masters declines the spot or doesn’t pay the European Masters entry fee on time, his/her spot will be given to a player on the European Masters waiting list.

Disqualification
A player may disqualify him/herself from earning a European Masters spot. In this case the disqualified player doesn’t affect the distribution of European Masters spots in the Qualifier. A player should notify the organizer about this before the Qualifier. E.g. if a player knows that he/she will not be able to attend the European Masters, but want’s to participate in the Qualifier, he/she can play in the Qualifier but will not compete for the European Masters spots. In this case the possible European Masters spot will be granted to the next eligible player in the Qualifier’s final standings.

Players who already have a European Masters spot are automatically disqualified, even though they are welcome to play in the Qualifier.
