Registration started with a bang
The registration has been open for a week and we just published the first update of the registered players list. The first week was very busy. Total of 89 players registered for the tournament. As expected, the MPO division grabbed a vast share of the registrants by 83 players while six players registered for the FPO division.
A whole bunch of familiar names from the top level of the sport will guarantee that there’s going to be show that you definitely don’t want to miss. The brightest star on the players list is Paul McBeth, the current back-to-back Pro World Champion and #1 ranked player, who had a stellar season last year. In addition to Mcbeth the list features seven Open Pro World Champions: MPO Champions Nate Doss, Dave Feldberg, Avery Jenkins and Eric McCabe and FPO Champions Valarie Jenkins and Sarah Hokom.
The World Champions will be challenged by their top ranked country men. Six out of top 10 ranked men have registered so far, as the list also features Will Schusterick, Ricky Wysocki and Nikko Locastro. Among the US players is also the distance world record holder David Wiggins Jr. The US pros will be up for a battle against the Europe’s finest players, including the reigning European Champion Simon Lizotte. Other noteworthy Europeans on the list are certainly the world #12 ranked Karl Johan Nybo, and the Finnish and Swedish Champions from 2013: Pasi Koivu and William Gummesson, just to name a few.
