Another World Champion joins the tournament

The registered players list wast updated for the second time today. While the first registration week started with a bang, the second week wasn’t as busy as the first as we received 9 new registrations. The lone FPO registrant is the most interesting one: Paige Pierce, the 2011 and 2013 Pro Women’s World Champion. She’s the 8th World Champion to register for the event and with her on board the contest for the European Masters 2014 Women’s Champion will surely be fierce! Pierce wasn’t the only top rated US player to register during week 2. Cale Leiviska and Gregg Barsby will amp up the competition in Open division.

The tournament is filling up fast. Currently there are 98 registered players. When we take all the quotas into account, only 17 spots are open at the moment. The first quota will be released on March 5th since March 4th is the deadline for the registration of players who received a spot based on their European Open performance. Five out of these 25 players haven’t registered yet.
